HistoryIn 1911 Moody Engineering was established to provide construction and electrical engineering projects. During the 1920's the rapid development of the oil and gas industry in the USA created a large new client base for Moody's services. The President of Moody Engineering became a prominent member of the newly formed American Petroleum Institute and chaired its standardization committee contributing to the specifications for methods of tubular manufacturing processes and standards of inspection. Subsequently, Moody became involved in inspection and provision of other technical services of materials and equipment for various process industries. Worldwide OperationsIn 1948, our first international office was opened in Japan and we extended our services into Europe in the 1960's. In 1971 the Reliance Group Holdings acquired Moody International. During the 1970's, 1980's and 1990's further expansion of Moody International extended into China, Eastern Europe and South Africa, as well as opening new offices in Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Indonesia and South America.
